Classes for Ages 2-5: Dance Magic Program

Dance Magic classes are offered for children ages 2-5. Our preschool dance classes are very popular programs at Trinity Arts Dance Academy. We offer two levels, Tiny Tots for 2-3 year olds, 30 minutes per week and KinderBallet and KinderTap/Jazz for 3-5 year olds, 45 minutes per week. These classes are unique among children's introductory classes. Our classes are fun and make learning dance a truly creative experience that benefits the children's coordination, musicality and expressiveness.

The Dance Magic classes are structured with introductory ballet steps, games and stories. We start out in the center with the Magic Circle, where an introduction to basic dance positions and steps is taught. Then we play fun creative dance games (fairy freeze, zoo animals, or beanbag boogie are favorites). We always take a water break half way through the class and then we get on board the Magic Bus for more steps across the floor. Finally, a story ballet is read to the students and dancers perform their creative version of the ballet with costumes and classical music. Girls in Dance Magic classes wear the color Pink!

Tiny Tots

2-3 year olds. Our dance class introduces all the basic coordination exercises, stretching and flexibility training, introductory ballet, memory skills, music appreciation and introductory discipline skills such as team work and group cooperation.

Mommy and Tots

This inter-active creative movement class is designed to allow parents to assist the very youngest movers through their first dance class experience! This dance class incorporates basic coordination exercises, pre-ballet, music appreciation and flexibility exercises. Creative games and songs add to the fun.

Kinder Ballet and Kinder Tap/Jazz

This class is designed to give the young dancer an opportunity to discover and explore different types of dance. This class provides an opportunity for children to interact with other students and develop appropriate motor skills. (For Dancers 3-5 years old)
