FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - 10/14/2005   Appalachian Style Clogging Classes In Livermore   A weekly clogging dance class in Appalachian style will be held at Trinity Arts Dance Academy, 3052 Pacific Avenue, Livermore beginning Thursdays from November 3 to December 15, 2005.   Clog dancing is a true American art form which developed from the many steps our ancestors brought with them as they populated the Appalachian region.  Their love of dance and willingness to share slowly began to merge and influences from the dance styles of the American Indian and African Americans added to form the style of dancing known today as clogging.   People of any age can learn to clog and no previous experience is necessary.  Clogging is great exercise and fun for the whole family.  You only need to bring your energy and a pair of comfortable and smooth shoes for class.  Our schedules are:   9am–10am         Kinder Clog                  Ages 3-5 10am–11am       Beginning Clogging      Ages 6-10 1pm–2pm           Beginning Clogging      Ages 11-15 3:30–4:30pm     Beginning Clogging      Ages 6+   These classes will learn the basic steps of this traditional dance form and learn several easy fun dances during the six week introductory session.  The class will be taught by Janice Yee Hanzel, CCI (Certified Clogging Instructor)   Fees:  $65 per person for the 6 week introductory program (registration fee will be waived for this period)   ANOTHER EXCITING AND SPECIAL clogging time on Thursday at 5:30-6:30pm in Trinity Arts Dance Academy too.  Bring a group of friends/family to celebrate Harvest Time, A Barn Raising, a Quilting Party and other social gatherings.   Fees:  Register as a group of 4 for only $10 per person.  Family/Friend No. 6 and above come in for Free.   Please contact Janice at 925-518-0636 or sewiclog@aol.com to register for a spot.
