Dancer's Spotlight: Elaine Yu
Have you met Elaine Yu? If you see her in class or rehearsal at the studio make sure you say hello and congratulations; as she has earned the honor of being the 2006-2007 Elite Junior Protege for The Pulse. The Pulse is the Broadway Dance Center's Elite Convention, featuring the celebrity choreographers from So You Think You Can Dance.
What is an Elite Protege? This is a talented and dedicated dancer who has proven to the choreographers that she can learn their style of routine and demonstrate the combinations for the choreographers when they are leading the convention classes. Elaine was chosen for this position from over 1000 dancers across the nation. Elaine assists and demonstrates for the teachers on the stage, so that the 200+ dancers taking the classes have someone to follow. Elaine has already attended the first 3 conventions thus far this season, attending Las Vegas, NV, Hollywood, FL and Austin, TX.
