DIRECTOR’S CORNER The sun is shining, flowers are blooming and the time has come to update everyone on the happenings at Trinity Arts Dance Academy. Read below for all the info! Most sincerely, Kjelene Deakin Studio Owner and Artistic Director SUMMER INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION IS OUT! I am so excited to announce in addition to our ever popular Dance Camps, I have also added Special Dance Intensives for our Basic-Advanced level dancers. For the first time your dancers can have the opportunity to try new classes never offered before, such as Contemproary Technique, Musical Theatre, Acting for Dancers as well as their Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop classes. The weekly intensives are designed to give the dancers maximum exposure to their dance training in a short time, and have a summer vacation too! I am also offering a regular class schedule for a limited 6 week session. My summer session is designed to accommodate everyone's vacation schedules. More details and information can be found under the CLASSES section of the website. JUNE PERFORMANCE DETAILS! Choreography is progressing nicely and the dancers are getting very excited. The costume book is on display in the lobby. Please come in and check out your childs costume and check to see that you have the appropriate required shoes, and leg attire to go wit htier costumes. DRESS REHEARSAL AND PICTURE DAY! Picture Day is Friday, June 20 from 3:00-8:00pm. Dress Rehearsal will be the last week of regularly scheduled classes from June 24-27. Exact times will be announced in May. PERFORMANCE DAY: Our performance of "The Very First Rainbow" will be on Saturday, June 28. Dancers and volunteer parents need to be available from 9:30am-6:00pm. We will begin with Director's announcements, followed by a run through of the Grand Finale followed by our 2 performances. Show times will be announced soon. ANNOUNCING THE YOUNG COMPANY AUDITIONS! Plan to be a part of this unique and special group of dancers. The Young Company is our elite group of dancers who want to increase their dance education by committing to a higher standard of classwork and rehearsal, and attending conventions, competitions and master classes throughout the Bay Area. Auditions will be held on July 8, 9 and 10. Interested dancers must attend 1 ballet class and 1 jazz class in this week to be considered for placement on the 2008-2009 season of The Young Company.
